Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the office on designated in-office days.\nResponsibilities:\nOversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.\nManage attorney trust accounts and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.\nPrepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.\nLead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.\nDevelop, maintain, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.\nManage cash flow forecasting and monitor the company's financial position.\nPrepare annual budgets and financial forecasts while providing variance analysis and recommendations.\nEnsure compliance with GAAP and all federal, state, and local financial reporting requirements.\nOversee tax filings, business licenses, and regulatory reporting requirements.\nAnalyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to leadership regarding profitability, cost management, and operational efficiencies.\nSupport executive leadership with financial modeling, scenario planning, and special projects as needed.\nAssist with system implementations, process automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.\nExperience supporting professional services such as law firms or legal marketing agencies preferred.\n7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role.\nStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.\nExperience managing the full accounting cycle and financial close process.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar ERP systems).\nExperience with payroll systems and financial planning tools is a plus.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nKey Skills:\nExperience developing and improving financial processes and internal controls.\nStrong business acumen with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.\nExperience supporting executive leadership with strategic financial planning.\nKnowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.\nHigh level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential financial information.\nTarget Salary Range: $130,000–$150,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
