Are you ready to take off on your next career with us?\n\nJob Summary\n\nThe classification of Supervisor Cargo Services includes managing, coordinating and controlling all aspects of a cargo operation overseeing all operational activities including the functions described below; monitors the quantity and quality of work performance; directing personnel within assigned functional area; overseeing and advising on staffing requirements; participating in the discipline, coaching, counseling, hiring and termination of subordinates; training subordinates, ensures compliance with Company rules and regulations, Company standards and contractual agreements; ensures budgetary controls and manning requirements. This position may include responsibility for communication between individual customers and the Company. Proactively monitors the work of assigned employees to ensure that customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet or exceed standards. Maintain and control all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation. Ensure that the required company audit requirements are undertaken to ensure continuity and compliance at all times. Read, understand and clarify the implementation of the site-specific security plan and ensure that all WFS staff are issued with a relevant company ID and that they are required to display this identity badge. Ensures they administer practices in a fair and equitable manner, where all employees, customers, vendors and other third parties are treated with respect. The scope of the job may vary with the size of the operation and its primary line of business.\n\nCargo Service Functions\n\nResponsible for cargo warehousing, including receiving, dispatching and staging airfreight, air mail and other cargo at air freight docks and other cargo facilities; operating motorized vehicles as related to the operation; routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, equipment and facilities with or without powered equipment; and other duties and functions related to the foregoing.\n\nResponsibilities\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\nAbility to write routine reports and correspondence.\nAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\nAbility to compute rate, percent and interpret bar graphs.\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.\nAbility to interpret extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.\nWork with minimal supervision.\nReports to work on a regular and timely basis.\nMinimum Requirements\nAssociate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nMust be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off.\nPreferred Skills\nAbility to handle stress.\nCognitive skills to set priorities and use independent judgment.\nAbility to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.\nPhysical Requirements/Working Conditions\nAbility to lift up to 70 lbs.\nWork in a high noise level environment.\nPerks & Benefits\nWant your pay in advance?
