A school-based Physical Therapist position is available to provide essential support to students across grades K-12. This contract role involves delivering specialized physical therapy services within a school setting to help students achieve their developmental and educational goals.Position Details:Location: Schaumburg, ILContract duration: Approximately March 30, 2026, to October 19, 2026Schedule: 1 hour per week for 30 weeksService type: Compensatory physical therapy servicesStudent population: Kindergarten through 12th gradeResponsibilities:Provide direct physical therapy services to students as specified in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Collaborate closely with educators, school staff, and families to support student development and progressMaintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and generate required reportsAssist in evaluating students' physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plansEnsure compliance with all regulatory and school district requirementsQualifications:Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with experience or special interest in school-based practiceKnowledge of pediatric physical therapy and school system protocolsStrong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teamsAbility to provide services in accordance with compensatory service guidelinesCommitment to student-centered care and improving functional outcomes
