The consultant will work on advanced threat detection engineering and threat hunting, with a strong focus on Linux, containerized, Kubernetes and cloud-native environments. You will collaborate with other teams to strengthen early detection of cyber threats using state-of-the-art SIEM and runtime detection technologies.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nDesign, develop, and maintain threat-informed detection rules based on cyber threat intelligence, adversary techniques, and incident feedback\r\nEngineer and deploy detection use cases for Linux workloads , including physical, virtual, and containerised systems\r\nIntegrate and validate security telemetry (container runtime events, Kubernetes audit logs, cloud control-plane logs) into SIEM platforms\r\nPerform continuous tuning and optimization of detections to reduce false positives and improve coverage and performance\r\nConduct proactive threat hunting and retro-hunting activities and convert findings into production-grade detections\r\nContribute to detection coverage mapping , gap analysis, and risk-based prioritization\r\nProduce and maintain technical documentation (specifications, validation evidence, runbooks, reporting)\r\nMaster's degree in IT or Cybersecurity\r\nRequired Skills & Experience\r\nMandatory\r\nEuropean Union nationality (EU-27)\r\nFluent English (working language)\r\nMinimum 6 years of experience in Cybersecurity\r\nAt least one recognized cybersecurity certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, GCED, GCIH, Security+, CEH, cloud security certs, etc.)\r\nStrong expertise in Kubernetes security and attacker techniques\r\nProven experience in threat detection engineering and/or threat hunting\r\nExperience with SIEM platforms , preferably Splunk\r\nAbility to work in a multicultural, international environment\r\nEligible for EU security clearance\r\nStrong Assets\r\nCloud security (AWS and/or Azure)\r\nDetection content lifecycle, Git-based workflows, CI/CD or DetectionOps\r\nSoft skills\r\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\r\nAbility to work autonomously in operational contexts\r\nClear technical communication and documentation skills\r\nTeam-oriented mindset in international environments\r\nRisk-aware and security-focused approach\r\nWhat you'll love about working here\r\nAt Capgemini Belgium we offer flexibility in more than one way: next to our hybrid way of working, where we offer you can work 70% from home, we also offer our flex abroad program.
