Interprets and analyzes examination and test results against UL requirements, verifying the accuracy of manufacturers measuring equipment and reviewing production and inspection records.\r\n\r\n\r\nPeriodically reviews manufacturers programs of production, inspection, and shipping to ensure products are produced and marked in compliance with UL requirements.\r\n\r\n\r\nEvaluates and facilitates options for corrective action where variations from UL requirements are noted.\r\n\r\n\r\nUnderstands construction and test acceptance criteria and requirements of applicable sections of Standards, procedures for Special Competency required categories. Communicates with manufacturers and customers, Authorities Having Jurisdiction and others to conduct non-safety and safety certification inspections.\r\n\r\n\r\nDiscusses procedures, test methods, test results, sample selection and variations in products, devices, processes, systems and materials as necessary to resolve problems, implement changes to existing requirements or help develop new requirements.\r\n\r\n\r\nUses instruments to perform inspections, such as micrometers, voltmeters and other UL supplied equipment to meet UL requirements.\r\n\r\n\r\nConfirms proper calibration of manufacturers measuring equipment and may perform calibration of UL supplied equipment.\r\n\r\n\r\nDocuments examination, variations and test results to appropriate UL forms.\r\n\r\n\r\nRead and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.\r\n\r\n\r\nPerforms other duties as directed.\r\n\r\n\r\nLI-MB1\r\nLI-Remote\r\n\r\n\r\nFluency in English is required.\r\n\r\n\r\nPreferred applicant has completed NDT Classroom Training in MT, VT and UT with previous Level II NDT experience and certification.\r\n\r\n\r\nCandidate must possess a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and technical ability.\r\n\r\n\r\nStrong verbal communications skills, and client-interfacing skills.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to work outside throughout the year and inside production facilities for weld fabrication and assembly is required.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs, both assisted and unassisted, work in confined spaces and elevated areas required, and verify torque on critical mounting bolts.\r\n\r\n\r\nGood mechanical reasoning, experience with welding and fabrication a plus.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team to meet the client's expectations at multiple work locations.\r\n\r\n\r\nPunctual, responsible, attention to detail, and self-motivation are necessary.\r\n\r\n\r\nDependable personal transportation is required to visit client locations in Northeast Wisconsin, this role is based in the Appleton, WI area with periodic inspections at other client locations.\r\n\r\n\r\nThis position is focused on second shift support at client locations, initial training and NDT Certification will be completed on first shift. \r\n\r\n\r\nWhat we offer\r\n\r\nTotal Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors.
