Thrasher Partners is looking for a Regional Controller who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial activities of our western region, specifically focusing on our Arizona and California locations. This person will work closely with our executive team as well as local operators to provide strategic financial guidance. This role requires a hands-on approach and excellent leadership skills.\n\nLocation: We will only consider candidates currently living in or willing to relocate to the Pheonix, AZ area. This position will require travel to various Thrasher Partner locations or to headquarters in Omaha, NE. Travel is expected to be about 25%.\n\nAs a Regional Controller, you will be responsible for:\n\nFinancial Planning and Analysis:\nDevelop and implement financial strategies to support each Thrasher Partner location’s business objectives.\nProvide accurate and timely financial analysis, forecasts, and reports to support decisions.\n\nBudgeting and Forecasting:\nPrepare budgets for each partner location, collaborating with leadership and local operators.\nMonitor and analyze budget variances, providing recommendations for improvement.\n\nFinancial Reporting:\nDetermine cadence and perform balance sheet reviews.\nPrepare the following monthly reports: monthly financial reporting package, covenants, organic growth and wage reconciliation.\nPrepare documents for third parties (e.g., audit, NE Tax Advantage, R&D Tax Credit, tax return, benefit plan audit).\n\nPayroll:\nKeep up to date on payroll regulations and best practices, and work with HR to understand employee changes that affect payroll.\nReview payroll and import into accounting system.\n\nMonth End Close:\nManage company credit cards in Divvy and ensure all payments are made, and transactions are updated to the general ledger.\nEnsure all vendors are paid on time and 1099s are completed and mail timely.\nEnsure A/R invoices are done timely and accurately.\nEnsure software billing is done.\nPrepare monthly reports, including cash flows, partner rankings, and cost save reporting.\nRespond to all US census reports.\n\nTeam Leadership:\nRecruit, select, onboard, and train new employees.\nProvide expectations and hold employees accountable to meeting these expectations.\nManage performance, conduct performance reviews, and partner with HR on other performance decisions.\nProvide opportunities for growth and development.\n\nEducation and Experience:\nBA degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.\nCPA certification preferred.\n5-7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles.\nStrong knowledge of GAAP reporting standards and regulations.\nProven experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.\nExcellent leadership and interpersonal skills.\n\nBoth Supportworks and Thrasher have been consistently named in the Best Places to Work in Omaha.
