As we grow across states and products, we are expanding the compliance team with Compliance Officers reporting to the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. In this role you will own and advance core parts of that program: designing and executing compliance tests, supporting regulatory reporting and licensing, and keeping our controls examiner-ready. Officers on the team cross-train and share coverage, bringing independent review to each other's work. If you take pride in a compliance program that can show the evidence behind every conclusion, you will do your best work here.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign and execute periodic compliance testing across our earned wage access activity, building defined populations from source systems, documenting your sampling, retaining the source data, and producing work papers a regulator or independent reviewer could follow end to end.\nAssess activity against applicable requirements, including UDAAP, ECOA and Regulation B, and Regulation E.\nOperate the findings and corrective action process: log exceptions, assign owners, track remediation, and validate closure with evidence.\nMaintain a complete, current license and registration inventory and a master compliance calendar covering renewals, periodic reports, assessments, surety bonds, registered-agent obligations, and examination deadlines.\nPrepare and submit regulatory reports and renewals accurately and on schedule, including NMLS filings and support for officer and control-person amendments.\nHandle consumer complaints per procedure, and support UDAAP and marketing review.\nSupport release sign-off reviews so covered product changes are captured and evidenced before launch.\nKeep organized, examiner-ready evidence so nothing depends on any one person's institutional memory.\nWho You Are\nRigorous and evidence-driven. You document what you did, against what standard, and what you found.\nComfortable with transaction-level data and able to pull or specify your own extracts.\nMeticulous and deadline-driven, able to carry many concurrent obligations without letting anything slip.\nSelf-directed, able to run work from start to closure without being managed step by step.\nA clear, precise writer.\nWho You Are Not\nLooking for a role where compliance is a checkbox at the end of a process rather than an active control.\nMost comfortable reviewing work others have prepared, and reluctant to build tests, pull data, or own filings yourself.\nUneasy about documenting your work in detail or having it independently reviewed.\nRequirements\n4+ years in compliance, audit, risk, or regulatory operations within consumer financial services, fintech, banking, or a comparable regulated environment.\nDirect experience executing compliance work with documented work papers or filings, not only reviewing work prepared by others.\nWorking knowledge of federal consumer protection regulations (UDAAP, ECOA and Reg B, Reg E; EFTA and TILA familiarity a plus).\nStrong organization and documentation habits across many concurrent obligations.\nBonus points for willingness and capability to\nWork directly in earned wage access or payments.\nOwn multi-state licensing, NMLS account administration, and MU-series filings.\nStand up testing, licensing, and recordkeeping processes from an early stage rather than maintain mature ones.\nSupport examinations and regulatory engagement.\nFloatMe is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
