You will be part of the Powertrain and Propulsion R&D team that evaluates and tests novel powertrain technologies for Wisk aircraft.\n\nDue to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Mountain View location.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDesign, build, and test mechanical and electromechanical components and structures\n\nCreate, run, and post-process basic stress and thermal analysis simulations\n\nCreate and release 2D mechanical design drawings\n\nPerform analysis using first principles techniques to validate mechanical and thermal aspects of the design\n\nMake design considerations for mass optimization, structural integrity, thermal considerations, and risk mitigation\n\nManage and track CGs and weights for components installed on an aircraft\n\nRequirements\n\nBS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering\n\n8+ years of relevant work experience in Mechanical Engineering\n\n2+ years of testing experience\n\nAdvanced understanding of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals (statics, dynamics, structural mechanics, etc.)\n\nFamiliarity with CAD software such as Siemens NX (preferred), SolidWorks, etc.\n\nFamiliarity with Matlab or Python for data regression\n\nFamiliarity with drafting standards, including GD&T, and ability to interpret or create engineering drawings\n\nJob Type: Full-time\n\nPay range the company expects to pay: $148,000 - $186,000 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job‑related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.\n\nBenefits\nWe offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, nine off Fridays for full-time employees throughout the year, flexible vacation time off, eleven company holidays, a 401(k) plan with 50% company matching vested immediately, commuter assistance, and education assistance.
