Let’s define tomorrow, together.DescriptionJob overview and responsibilitiesUnited Airlines’ Customer Technology Platform department partners with business and technology leaders across the company to create services and applications across key airline functionalities and Operational Systems to help support the commercial and digital Channels of United.As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for the development of mission critical applications, while working with a team of developers. You will design, develop, document, test and debug new and existing applications. Additionally, you will build these applications with a focus on delivering cloud-based solutions. The individual will use leading edge technologies and enterprise grade integration software daily. You will be relied upon to help take this team to the next level from a technological standpoint.Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and designServe as technical expert on development projectsWrite technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirementsSupport, maintain, and document software functionalityIdentify and evaluate new technologies for implementationAnalyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as neededConsult with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needsQualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):Bachelor’s degreeComputer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field preferred2+ years of experience in Java and Spring Boot software developmentSystem design, development, documenting, testing, and debugging of new and existing software systems for a large-scale tier 1 application.What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):5+ years of experience with Software Development using Java and Spring BootMicroservices, Apache Camel with Frontend development experience with ReactKnowledge of Oracle, NoSQL and Design PatternsWorking experience with Cloud Computing, such as ECS and EKSWorking knowledge with IBM WebSphere MQ, SolaceExposure to applications performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace/ CloudWatchReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionAirline IndustryThe base pay range for this role is $89,965.00 to $117,212.00.The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills.
