As part of our engineering team, you will support higher-level engineers in the design and analysis of mechanical components. You will develop, design, and modify components to meet defined requirements and prepare necessary documentation to define products and verify analytics. Your role involves providing technical assistance to internal departments, suppliers, and customers, with guidance from senior engineers, and supporting peer reviews of generated component documents, drawings, operating procedures, and work instructions.\n\nEssential Functions\nDevelop new products and modify existing products with guidance from senior engineers to support customer, regulatory, industry standards, and market requirements.\nPerform trade studies to optimize design solutions.\nCreate or calculate tolerance stack-ups, and perform reliability and Failure Modes and Effects analyses.\nPrepare and review documentation required to define and control products. Support design reviews with customers and internally as required.\nCreate and implement test procedures for products based on product requirements and customer specifications.\nMonitor testing and analyze data to verify product performance against customer and design specifications. Review and recommend approval or disapproval of test reports.\nSupport failure analysis examinations and prepare Failure Analysis Reports (FAR) of findings.\nProvide technical support to all internal departments, suppliers, and customers as it relates to the product, with guidance from senior engineers.\nParticipate in defining engineering approaches, including planning and scheduling work and participating in cost reduction activities.\nEnsure the successful completion of the assigned project phase within budgeted time and cost constraints.\nComplete other duties as assigned.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nBS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.\n2-4 years of experience in the aerospace industry; experience in other industries with the development and manufacture of electro-mechanical components can be considered in lieu of aerospace experience.\nKnowledge of design and/or operation of mechanical processes in support of aerospace parts.\nKnowledge of ANSI Y14.5 standards, tolerance analysis, computer-aided design, and solid modeling.\nFundamental engineering analysis skills.\nWorking knowledge of practical manufacturing techniques, quality assurance requirements, and all factors affecting product/program costs.\nPreferred knowledge of analytical tools such as SolidWorks and its analysis suite.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to organize, prepare, and present materials to customers, suppliers, and company management at all levels.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office tools.\n\nBenefits\nPEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
