This role is ideal for someone with hands-on veterinary experience who is looking to stay engaged in clinical practice while maintaining schedule flexibility.We’re looking for a team member who brings strong technical abilities, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for patient care—someone who can confidently support our medical team and contribute to a high standard of care.Animal Hospital of Lewisville provides compassionate, full-service veterinary care for dogs and cats throughout Lewisville, Clemmons, Pfafftown, Winston-Salem, Mocksville, and Rural Hall.Our team is proud to deliver relationship-driven, high-quality medicine, offering services including:Preventive and wellness careSurgery and dental proceduresDigital X-ray and ultrasound diagnosticsEchocardiograms and advanced imagingDermatology and allergy careLaser therapy for pain management and healingUrgent and sick patient careWe are committed to supporting pets through every stage of life while building lasting relationships with the families we serve.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Provide safe and effective patient handling and restraintAssist veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, and proceduresAdminister medications and support pharmacy and prescription fulfillmentPerform basic clinical support tasks (lab work, diagnostics, treatment prep as applicable)Maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficiency throughout the hospitalSupport care for boarding and hospitalized patients as neededCommunicate clearly with team members to ensure seamless patient careTake initiative and contribute to a team-first, solutions-oriented environmentSkills Knowledge and ExpertiseMinimum 1 year of veterinary experience preferred (assistant or technician level)High school diploma or GED requiredStrong understanding of clinical workflows and patient care standardsExcellent communication skills and a collaborative team mindsetAbility to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environmentPhysical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout shiftsComfortable working in a clinical setting with potential exposure to infectious diseasesScheduling ExpectationsThis is a part-time position with scheduling flexibility; however, participation in our rotating Saturday schedule is essential to support our team and ensure consistent patient care.
