EDUCATION: MSOT or OTD
EXPERIENCE: New grads to five years or more of out-patient experience and continuing education in the orthopedic and musculoskeletal areas. Experience in working with orthopedic injuries, stroke, hand injuries, chronic pain, arthritis, and post-surgical recovery desired.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: License to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Connecticut or Eligible to Apply for CT License

Responsibilities
Evaluate Patients: Assess physical abilities like strength, ROM, coordination, sensation, and endurance; evaluate cognitive and visual skills such as memory, attention, and visual tracking; improve daily task like dressing, bathing, cooking, working, or driving.
Establish and Execute Treatment Plans: set realistic goals, use therapeutic activities and exercises to improve function.
Improve Daily Living and Work Skills: Train patients in self-care activities; address upper extremity function; provide ergonomic training and joint protection strategies.
Use Adaptive Equipment and Techniques: Recommend and train patients in use of adaptive tools; teach compensatory strategies.
Provide Education: Educate patients on HEP; teach injury prevention; manage symptons and prevent reinjury.
Document and Communicate: Write evaluations, progress notes, daily notes, and discharge summaries; communicate with physicians and other rehab professionals adjust treatment plan based on patient progess and medical updates.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
