Job Description SUPERINTENDENT Location: Raleigh-Durham, NC ROLE SUMMARYThe Site Superintendent will be responsible for safety compliance, subcontractor management, constructability reviews in the field, job walks for different reviews with clients or subcontractors, as built reviews of subcontractors, implementation of RFI's, ASC's, CCD's, etc, once they are approved by Client, and interface with teams on technology low voltage scopes of work including internal and external employees, vendors, and subcontractors. This position is expected to be a field superintendent, who, through the demonstration of strong leadership,communication and management skills effectively helps manage scope definitions andintegrations for technology scopes on selected projects. This requires walking job sites in all conditions, full PPE at all times, and onsite presence when subcontractors are onsite working. Our team is capable of completing a start to finish install, tracking milestones along the way, and giving feedback on better, more costeffective ways to complete our projects.KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES - CORESupports all aspects of the company's safety culture and creates awareness bydemonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actionsand mentoring others.Coordinate with team on technology related design and construction efforts that meetthe constructability, quality, financial and technical standards.Implementation of RFI's, ASC's, CCD;s, etc once approved by ClientDocument Control of daily reports, safety documentation, job walks, and as builtTrade to Trade Coordination through the Shop Drawing and Submittal Process as itapplies to installation in the fieldProvide technical expertise related to field installation and safety.Review scheduling with subcontractors and PM to properly align field conditions withPM for current reviews and alignment with GC schedule.Support of Mock-Up rooms/spaces installation and coordination with subcontractorsLead, coach and motivate team members in a proactive manner, consistent with AMSYS'FIT policy. Support the team for project delivery to achieve project financial, quality andperformance objectives. Keeps PM informed of all field directions to confirm them withClient / Team so no verbal orders are taken and all cost impact is reviewed.Participate in companywide communication programs and strategy sessions to enhancethe company's ability to effectively market, sell and deliver technology related services.Assist in developing the schedule for all the different scopes for submittals, shopdrawings, BIM dates, addition of scope, and mockups / training with the PM team.Track and report progress on the achievement of project milestone(s) with teammembers for updates to schedule and progress paymentsCommunicate, track and resolve issues in an effective and prompt manner throughoutthe life of the project.KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES - ADDITIONAL COREIn addition, this position will be responsible for the following:Assistance in management of coordination efforts between GC and our team in the fieldfor all low voltage scopes.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops;reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarkingstate-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.Engage local civic organizations and municipality activities to establish local involvementwith the projects as well as Union relations.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESAbility to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely mannerCommunication skills, verbal and writtenProficiency in MS OfficeAbility to demonstrate strong personal and interpersonal skills as a self-starter withstrong follow throughThorough knowledge of project processes and how each supports the successfulcompletion of a construction project with a PM.Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externallyAbility to manage subcontractors, maximize time, and generate future work throughbuilding relationshipsAbility to build relationships with team members that transcend a projectGeneral knowledge of telecommunication infrastructure and networking, including butnot limited to fiber, copper, LAN/WAN, wireless, and telephony.Additional knowledge of Low Voltage hospital equipment is a plus – nurse call, overheadpaging, access control, CCTV, and PS DAS systems.
