Design & Web Coordinator

Job Description: Typeset copy into lesson templates and supporting resources across all Brite curriculum offerings with consistency in formatting, readability, and brand standards.Design engaging, age-appropriate printables that correlate and enhance lesson content and support various learning styles.Ensure all designed assets are optimized for both print and digital use (formatting, margins, resolution, file size, usability).Collaborate with curriculum writers and team members to translate content into visually clear, effective teaching materials.Maintain and advance design templates to ensure consistency and efficiency across curriculum products.Design additional curriculum resources as needed.Organize and maintain curriculum files using consistent naming conventions and folder structures for ease of access and scalability.Upload and manage digital assets on Britecurriculum.com, ensuring files are accurate, complete, and properly categorized.Update lesson content and resources on the website, ensuring alignment.Monitor site content for broken links, outdated files, or inconsistencies, and proactively resolve issues.Support ongoing improvements to site organization and user experience for internal teams and customers.Develop and implement systems and checklists to minimize errors and ensure consistency across all curriculum assets.Conduct thorough final reviews of all materials prior to publication, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with brand and curriculum standards.Identify and troubleshoot design, formatting, or usability issues, making corrections as needed.Collaborate with team members to continuously improve workflows and quality assurance processes.Assist customers with troubleshooting and resolving specific issues related to curriculum resources, providing "above and beyond" connection and support.Actively collaborate in the ideation, development, improvement, and promotion of curriculum.Contribute to a culture of integrated workflow and information sharing.Support, uphold, and demonstrate Awana's cultural values in internal and external communications and relationships.Contribute to special projects, initiatives and evolving ministry needs.Embrace opportunities for professional development in order to hone your craft and expertise.Requirements: 2-3 years related experience in typesetting and/or graphic designUnderstanding of children's ministry curriculum layout and/or church ministry needs is preferredProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign required; Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat strongly preferred), Google Suite skills, requiredWorking knowledge of WordPress would be strongly preferred and AWS would be a bonusWorking knowledge of the Bible from an orthodox evangelical point of view is requiredFamiliarity with the US Evangelical Church landscape, specifically children's ministry and relevant children's cultureAvailability for occasional local and out-of-town, overnight travel may be requiredExperience with Brite curriculum and other Awana resources is a plusEligibility to work in the United States is required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.Benefits: Medical, dental & vision health insurancePaid family leave401(k) & Roth 401(k) retirement savings plans with employer matchGenerous paid vacation & holidaysAdoption assistanceEmployee wellness programRemote-first work environment with collaborative office locations
