Reports to the Beverage Director and manages the Wine Shop team.Manages the wine shop team: hires, schedules, trains, motivates, submits payroll and evaluatesLeads sales analysis and reviews budgets to ensure efficient operations; identifies areas for growthOversees inventory and purchases wine and supplies from vendorsMaintains a guest-centric, learning environment, training staff on the unique qualities of Italian winesShares knowledge of wines with guests and makes recommendationsCoordinates interdepartmentally to organize tastings, special activities and promotions for the wine shopDocuments, investigates, esclates and resolves all employee and guest incidentsPerforms other duties as required or assignedSalary for this role: $65k-$70kQualifications2+ years of experience in wine retail as a managerIn-depth knowledge of wine, in particular Italian winesExcellent communication skillsProficient in sales analytics procedures and best practicesProficient in Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of ExcelPassion for Italian food and wine cultureBachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree preferredJob RequirementsAvailability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings and weekendsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squattingAdditional InformationBenefits and PerksMedical, Dental, Vision InsurancePaid Time OffPaid Parental Leave401K with match or RRSPFree family meal dailyDiscounts at EatalyClasses on products and Italian cuisineReferral bonus programand more!
