OSP Passive Optical Engineer
OverviewWe’re seeking a OSP Passive Optical Engineer to support field-based passive fiber work including auditing Optical Distribution Frames (ODFs) and Fiber Access Points (FAPs), performing OTDR testing on spare fibers, and recording/updating results for planning and documentation purposes.ResponsibilitiesAudit and validate passive optical infrastructure including ODFs, FAPs, and related componentsPerform OTDR testing on spare fibers and document results accuratelyRecord findings and update test results in the appropriate planner/documentation toolsMaintain organized, traceable records of audits and test outputsCoordinate updates to ensure planning data reflects current field conditionsQualificationsExperience working with passive fiber infrastructure (including ODFs, FAPs, and fiber distribution environments)Experience working in central offices or similar environmentsHands-on capability performing OTDR testing and interpreting resultsStrong documentation discipline: ability to record, track, and update results consistentlyComfortable working on-site in Illinois for the duration of the engagement
