We are seeking high quality and energetic production personnel to work at our Fairfield, VA headquarters in the areas of fabric welding, sewing, and shelter integration with on-the-job training.\nSewing Machine Operator:\nThe Sewing Department at UTS is a high energy group where speed and consistency are key.\nIn this position, you will produce military component parts for shelters from various types of vinyl fabric.\nWhat we offer:\nCompetitive pay\nFour-day work week, day shift\nClimate controlled, safe, clean work environment\nStrong benefits package o Medical, dental, vision, life, short term disability, long term disability o 3 weeks’ vacation annually plus 10 holidays that includes 3 floating holidays, 401k plan\nEssential Qualifications:\nAbility to sit for long periods of time.\nAbility to lift 40 lb.\nStrong attention to detail.\nAbility to work alone and as a member of a team.\nAptitude to learn on the job and follow the manufacturing processes.\nAbility to communicate and solve problems with team members.\nEssential Duties:\nOperate sewing machine equipment.\nPerform all sewing assembly operations.\nRead and understand written instructions and follow markers and drawings.\nPerform basic sewing machine cleaning and maintenance.\nAlways keep the work area clean.\nFollows safety protocol.\nMaintain positive attitude and willingness to perform other duties assigned by management.\nNo experience necessary.
