{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"7aefb071380f18ae313f75dc","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/7aefb071380f18ae313f75dc","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/7aefb071380f18ae313f75dc","title":"Blaster","description":"Xtreme Manufacturing in Henderson, Nevada, is seeking an experience Blaster to join our Paint Department team!\nSUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES\nThe Blaster is responsible for using grinding tools, power tools and specialized equipment to remove paint, rust, and other material build-ups from rough surfaces. In addition to operating the blast booth and unloading the cabinet, the Blaster may also be asked to help with painting or coating tasks after you have successfully removed the unwanted substances from the surface.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nRemove dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces.\nSet up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment.\nLoad and unload the blast cabinet.\nAssist with painting or coating as needed.\nApply and remove non-skid materials as needed.\nBleed out air compressor to ensure there is no moisture and let compressor continue to run to build up air (to avoid water damage on the air tools).\nLubricate all air tools.\nClean equipment and work areas.\nCollect all tools and place them back in the proper toolboxes.\nDispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner.\nMust wear proper PPE (fresh air respirator, safety glasses, gloves, paint suit, etc.).\nREQUIRED EXPERIENCE\nPrevious sandblasting experience required.\nHigh school diploma or GED certificate.\nExperience working with or removing heavy metals a plus.\nFamiliarity with power tools.\nPHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
