Central Bark is looking for a dedicated and energetic Assistant Manager to join our team and help lead our thriving doggy daycare facility. As Assistant Manager, you'll support daily operations, lead a team of pet care pros, and ensure a safe, fun, and enriching environment for our four-legged guests. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:Assist with day-to-day operations of the facility, including opening/closing proceduresSupervise and support team members in daycare, front desk, and groomingEnsure all dogs are safe, engaged, and receiving top-quality careManage staff schedules, training, and performance under the direction of the General ManagerProvide excellent customer service to pet parents – greet, check-in/out, answer questions, and resolve concernsMaintain cleanliness and organization of play areas, kennels, and customer-facing spacesAdminister medications or special instructions as neededHelp plan and promote in-store events and marketing effortsEnforce health and safety protocols for dogs and humans Requirements:2+ years in pet care, kennel, grooming, or veterinary environment preferred1+ year of leadership or supervisory experienceStrong communication, customer service, and organizational skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced, active environmentComfort working around dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperamentsMust be able to lift 40+ lbs and be on your feet for extended periodsWillingness to work weekends and holidays as neededReliable transportation and a strong work ethic
