We're looking for a Technical Associate to join our team and operate state-of-the-art equipment. As a Technical Associate, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment, minimizing equipment downtime and waste levels, and ensuring accurate functioning of equipment.\n\nSign- On Bonus $1,500!\nfor qualified applicants\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nOperate, optimize, and maintain assigned production equipment\nMeet and exceed production standards while maintaining product quality\nMinimize and prevent equipment downtime and sustain budgeted waste levels\nMaintain accurate equipment logs and record downtime and maintenance problems\nPerform preventative maintenance on equipment\nStart up equipment and ensure accurate functioning\nMonitor component inventories and safety guards\nMaintain a neat and orderly production environment\nMonitor in-process quality and address issues as needed\nPerform required Q.C. checks and process challenges\nFollow safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements\nSupport upstream and downstream operations\nPerform rework as required\nWork optimally in a team environment\nPerform other duties as assigned by Supervisor\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nH.S. Diploma/G.E.D preferred\nMinimum of 2 years experience working in an automated environment with demonstrated mechanical skills/maintenance repair is preferred\nProficient with basic hand tools\nKnowledge of automated process\nProficient with mechanical components such as bushings, chain drives, conveyors, gearboxes, and ball valves\nProficient with electrical components such as photo-eyes, scales, reed switches, VFD’s\nWorking with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Hydraulics, and Pneumatics desired\nAble to work autonomously and be self-motivated\nAble to work any shift, including 12-hour night or 8-hour night shifts\nMust have clear and legible handwriting\nWork Environment:\nBD is a smoke-free campus. Smoking and the use of electronic smoking devices, marijuana, or tobacco products are not allowed on BD property, grounds or in the parking areas.
