Familiarity with legacy L2VPN designs (VPLS) and spanning tree (RSTP/MSTP) a plus for migration work.\nNetwork access control and identity: 802.1X / NAC.\nFirst-hop/gateway redundancy: VRRP or equivalent (e.g., anycast gateway in EVPN fabrics).\nWorking knowledge of core network services: DNS, DHCP/DHCPv6, IPsec, and VPNs.\nExperience with stateful firewalls and network security.\nNetwork automation and programmability: Python, Ansible, and templating (Jinja); NETCONF/YANG and/or REST APIs; and version control (Git) with infrastructure-as-code practices for configuration management.\nMonitoring, telemetry, and measurement: SNMP and streaming telemetry (gNMI/gRPC), time-series databases, and dashboarding (e.g., Grafana).\nExpertise in advanced network troubleshooting across large, complex environments.\nExcellent written and verbal communication, including explaining technical solutions and addressing concerns with non-specialist stakeholders and customers\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision on large, cross-functional projects.\nStrong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills with a customer-service orientation.\nHigh standards for quality, accuracy, and dependability - including under pressure.\nInitiative, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and a drive to keep learning.\nWorking Conditions / Demands\nThis role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment.
