Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and/or visual factory. This role provides the opportunity to work within the Network Solutions Business Unit of Leviton Manufacturing Company Inc.\nResponsibilities:\nExecutes assembly sequence duties consistently meeting productivity and quality expectations\nAssemble parts according to work instruction, verbal instruction, drawings, and/or diagrams\nPositions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements\nLoads materials and products into package processing equipment; weighs materials to ensure compliance with specifications\nObtains, moves, sorts, and labels material, and containers\nMay operate production machinery\nQualifications/Skills:\nAbility to read, understand, and navigate through online assembly process documents\nUnderstanding of basic math skills – adding, subtracting and measuring\nAbility to read drawings & blueprints\nAbility to safely utilize assembly tools as appropriate for the successful completion of production tasks\nAbility to communicate and follow instructions effectively both verbally and in written format\nAbility to use judgement related to identifying potential safety hazards\nAbility to multi-task\n\nPhysical Demands\nThis position requires 20% clerical and planning and 80% material handling, production assembly machine operations, and/or walking and assisting production employees\nWork is primarily performed on the manufacturing floor where noise levels may be moderate or high and hearing protection may have to be worn\nEye and foot protection may have to be worn\nLifting of weights up to 30 pounds may occur regularly, with a potential for lifting weights of up to 45 pounds on an occasional basis.\nThere is potential exposure to extreme temperatures\nThe occasional physical demands of the position include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and eye/hand/foot coordination\nMay stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.\nEducation & Experience:\nHigh School education or GED preferred.\nMinimum 3 months experience working in a production environment\nWhat We Offer:\nComprehensive benefits include:\nMedical (with an HSA option), Dental, Vision and Rx coverage beginning the 1st day of the month following your start date\n401(k) Program with employer matching contributions.
