This position is part of the Antech In-House Diagnostics organization focused on embedded software for veterinary analytical devices.\r\nPay Range\r\n$125,000-145,000 annually\r\nResponsibilities\r\nArchitect and write C++ code for on-device firmware, analytical algorithms, connectivity, GUI design, DevOps, manufacturing tools and customer-facing software.\r\nConduct peer reviews and technical assessments to ensure robust solutions and compliance with quality procedures.\r\nParticipate in project planning by providing technical inputs and progress evaluations.\r\nMentor less experienced Software Engineers.\r\nCollaborate with project leadership and other engineering disciplines to develop software requirements, verification, and validation protocols.\r\nOther duties as assigned.\r\nEducation and Experience\r\nBachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related field.\r\nQualifications\r\nMinimum five years professional software development experience.\r\nDemonstrated object-oriented C++ programming skill.\r\nExperience with embedded Linux development.\r\nDevOps experience, including Docker, GitLab CI, and version control systems.\r\nKnowledge of AWS or Azure infrastructure management.\r\nExperience developing automated tests and using a mock framework.\r\nPreferred\r\nGUI development experience, especially with Qt.\r\nExperience with Yocto.\r\nExperience with connectivity to laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or electronic health records (EHR).\r\nMedical device experience and strong understanding of software development/validation under IEC 62304 within an FDA QSR or ISO 13485 quality management system.\r\nKnowledge of software hardening techniques against cybersecurity attacks.\r\nTravel\r\nNo notable travel is required.\r\nWorking Conditions\r\nThe role is performed in a typical office environment.
