ABOUT THE ROLEThe Administrative Assistant works in a busy office environment and must efficiently multitask between various assignments. This position plays a key role in the coordination and distribution of work. Project managers, office managers, and field staff are the primary internal customers the Administrative Assistant supports.We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable part time Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations, including administrative, accounting, and onboarding functions. Sturgeon Electric has two divisions, offering both powerline construction and commercial/industrial electrical construction, making it a full-service electrical provider.Sturgeon Electric's Transmission and Distribution (T&D) construction division provides a full range of capabilities related to transmission, distribution, substation, and clean energy construction.Essential FunctionsAdministrative SupportProvide general administrative support to field and office personnelAnswer and direct incoming calls, and greet and assist visitorsOperate standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, scanners, and phone systemsMaintain organized records and ensure accurate data entry using Microsoft ExcelHR & OnboardingManage the full new hire onboarding process from start to finishEnsure all required documentation is completed accurately and submitted within established timelinesAlways maintain confidentiality of employee informationAccounting & Billing SupportReview and approve vendor invoices for paymentAssist with weekly payroll processingPrepare and manage weekly vendor billingInventory & Operations* Oversee the FR/PPE process, including inventory tracking and payment processingGeneral DutiesEnsure all assigned tasks are completed accurately, on time, and to a high standardPerform additional duties as needed to support office operationsAdhere to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, as well as all applicable professional standardsABOUT YOUQualifications* Minimum 1-2 years of general administrative experience required* High school diploma or GED is requiredKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to handle sensitive and confidential informationStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyExcellent attention to detailStrong communication and teamwork skillsWHAT WE OFFERCompensation & BenefitsTemporary or Part-time positions are not eligible for company benefits.Temporary or Part-time employees do not receive holiday pay.The hourly rate is planned at $22-$25 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.The position is planned for approximately 20-25 hours per week.Position may be subject to pre-employment screening, which may include background check and drug testing.
