This role is responsible for leading structural dynamics analysis efforts, supporting dynamic testing activities, and managing teams performing loads, vibration, modal, acoustic, and survivability analyses for mission-critical aerospace systems. The ideal candidate has strong experience with structural dynamics, finite element analysis, aerospace testing environments, and technical team leadership, and thrives in a collaborative engineering environment supporting national security space initiatives.RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Lead and supervise teams performing dynamic analysis activities for spacecraft and missile structuresSupport modal analysis, loads analysis, environment assessments, and rigid/flexible body deployment and separation analysesOversee mechanical survivability and hardening analysis activities across multiple aerospace programsProvide mentorship, training, and career development for structural dynamics engineering teamsSupport planning and execution of structural dynamics analyses and aerospace testing effortsRepresent the organization during design reviews, customer meetings, and contractor engagementsSupport development and execution of vibration, acoustic, modal, static, and shock testing activitiesAnalyze and compare test data against analytical models and simulation resultsSupport requirements development, progress tracking, and data reduction activitiesCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams supporting spacecraft and missile development effortsApply system-level understanding including thermal effects, material behavior, and mechanical system interactionsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Basic QualificationsDemonstrated understanding of structural dynamics through education, research, or practical engineering experienceExperience working with dynamic loads and environments including testing methods, analytical approaches, and mechanical system behaviorFamiliarity with finite element analysis (FEA), rigid body modeling, and flexible body modeling techniquesProven leadership or team coordination experience supporting engineering effortsAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret clearanceU.S. Citizenship requiredAdditional QualificationsExperience working within collaborative, cross-functional aerospace engineering environmentsStrong ownership mentality with ability to drive technical tasks to completion efficientlyExperience evaluating designs using rigid-body and flexible-body analysis methodsExperience analyzing mechanisms, antennas, electronic components, support equipment, hoisting systems, and composite structuresProficiency with NX/Nastran, Abaqus, ADAMS, LS-DYNA, MATLAB, Mathcad, and CREOExperience performing static, vibration, acoustic, modal, and shock testing for aerospace flight hardwareStrong troubleshooting and anomaly resolution skills for complex mechanical systemsExperience mentoring and developing junior engineering staffActive Secret or Top Secret clearance preferredExperience supporting missile, spacecraft, or aerospace defense programs preferred
