The role involves developing and maintaining product control plans, driving quality system performance, leading system audits, providing internal training, coordinating and supervising QC teams, resolving product issues, and supporting customer inquiries. A focus on continuous improvement processes underpins all duties, ensuring sustainable business operations.\nResponsibilities Develop and maintain control plans and lead new/current product initiatives.\nLead cross‑functional teams to investigate quality issues and drive solutions.\nFollow up on crucial Engineering change activities to ensure seamless processing.\nLead and supervise Quality Control activities.\nProvide technical responses to customers on quality issues, lead investigations, and drive corrective actions.\nLiaise with Suppliers during visits and conduct process/system audits.\nTrack and resolve open issues related to new product launches, develop control documents and other customer/supplier required quality documentation.\nLead internal audits, provide training, coach Junior Quality Technicians.\nEnsure all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct.\nSupport ISO 9001 activities and adhere to all environmental, health and safety rules and policies.\nConduct other duties as required.\nQualifications and Experience Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of 4 years) or equivalent years of education.\nSpecial consideration given to Quality Accreditation’s (AQC/AIAG) and technical courses completed (Auditor, etc.).\nMinimum of three years’ experience in a Quality capacity within a manufacturing environment.\nDemonstrated ability to drive process/product quality control, lean manufacturing.\nGood current working knowledge of AIAG standards (PQP, PPAP & PFMEA), Cpk, SPC, 8D Six Sigma (an asset).\nQuality Control background, including problem solving and root cause analysis.\nProfessional demeanour at all times.\nStrong leadership abilities and confident, consistent, decisive personality.\nMust be able to work with little supervision; self‑directed.\nAttention to detail in all areas of work.\nDesire for innovative thinking and continual learning.\nExcellent coaching, mentoring, mediating and negotiating skills.\nComputer literacy, including effective working skills with MS Office and e‑mail.\nGood written and verbal communication skills in English.\nNote: The company reserves the right to change the duties and responsibilities of this position at any time at its own discretion.\nCanadian Solar Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
