Use your technical acuity and grow into a leader in system engineering and product development.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nWork across several Aegis programs with responsibilities in Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) and Integrated Air Missile Defense (IAMD) tasking for the Mission Planner.\r\nDesign and develop models and algorithms in support of BMD and IAMD missions.\r\nAnalyze and assess mission capabilities and solutions.\r\nHandle algorithmic design, data analysis, requirements development, modeling, and simulation.\r\nDevelop solutions to mathematical and physics-based problems in the area of mission planning for IAMD scenarios.\r\nEnsure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into a total system solution that acknowledges technical, schedule, and cost constraints.\r\nQualifications\r\nBachelor degree in Aerodynamics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or closely related technical field.\r\nMinimum two (2) years' relevant systems engineering work experience.\r\nAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level – U.S. Citizenship required.\r\nDesired Skills\r\nMS level degree in Aerodynamics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or closely related technical field.\r\nDemonstrated interest and ability to learn new tools and technologies and successfully leverage those to complete projects in a timely manner.\r\nUS Navy Operator or Aegis Combat Systems experience.\r\nAbility to research technical challenges and provide effective solutions.\r\nMatlab familiarity.\r\nAerodynamic modeling.\r\nSoftware requirements familiarity.\r\nMachine learning familiarity.\r\nData science familiarity.\r\nDesire to grow into a leader.\r\nSecurity Clearance\r\nRequires Secret clearance.
