Remote DevOps Manager | WFH Opportunity

Job OverviewWe are seeking an accomplished DevOps Manager to lead and inspire a talented team of DevOps engineers in a fully remote role. This position is crucial in driving collaboration across infrastructure, development, and security teams to establish and execute CI/CD practices tailored for Azure cloud DevOps, all while supporting innovative commerce initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design, administration, and optimization of tools on our internal infrastructure to automate operational workflows and advance development delivery.Partner with Agile Product teams to pinpoint and capitalize on areas for improvement.Direct the configuration and deployment of our Observability platform using Datadog for various selling channels and services on OpenShift Kubernetes.Manage the integration of GitLab CI/CD within Azure cloud environments and related tools.Spearhead the implementation of GitOps with ArgoCD for backend services on Azure Red Hat OpenShift.Ensure robust security by collaborating with IT Security to implement automated security measures and governance processes.Mentor DevOps engineers, guiding them in the development and demonstration of practical solutions.Maintain operational integrity and stability through participation in on-call rotations and defect triage.Required Skills9+ years of substantial experience in infrastructure or DevOps roles, contributing to development community activities.Expertise in public cloud platforms, with a focus on Azure, including services like AKS and API Management.Proficiency in automation scripting using languages such as Python, Groovy, Shell, and PowerShell.Strong command of CI/CD pipeline tools including GitLab, Jenkins, and Ansible.Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.Familiarity with database management systems including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using tools like Terraform.QualificationsA minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity managing DevOps or infrastructure teams, demonstrating effective mentoring and performance management.A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience in Software Engineering will be considered.Career Growth OpportunitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to further your career through mentoring others, participating in critical decision-making processes, and staying abreast of emerging technologies and trends.
