Plateroom OperatorThe team is part of the Print Operations Business.The Plateroom Operator operates electronic and electromechanical imaging systems used to produce corporate publications or products. This includes the operation and maintenance of the Computer to Plate equipment, controls and materials. You will work at the White Oak Maryland print plant and report to the Technology Services Supervisor.You Will:Prepare and maintain imaging equipment.Check accuracy of image on plates against confirmation report.Check color plates for precision registration.Accurately distribute plates to appropriate presses.Be the Primary contact with off site Pre-Press departments. (WSJ & NYP).Monitor page flow, replates and other relevant information and relay to press personnel.Maintain accurate logs and records and complete nightly reports.Prepare and load plates into imaging units.Clean plate processors with proper use of PPE.Operate deleafer, imager, processor and benders.Keep plateroom and equipment clean and properly maintained.Recognize and report system problems to technical support for action.Handle other duties as assigned by Imaging Supervisor.Learn and operate multiple computer applications related to CTP.You Have:High school degree/GED or equivalent experience preferred.
