This 12 week internship provides hands-on experience in internal IT support, systems administration, and the development of custom tools and processes to support a growing small business digital service firm. You will gain experience developing, improving, and implementing internal IT workflows, automated tools, and procedures using modern cloud service platforms such as Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nProvide internal IT support to staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and service issues.\r\nAnalyze current internal IT workflows and systems to identify areas for process improvement.\r\nDevelop tools and scripts to automate routine IT resource management and provisioning tasks.\r\nAssist with the administration and configuration of devices using MDM and cloud platforms such as Mosyle, Microsoft Intune, AWS, and GCP.\r\nAssist in setting up monitoring and alerting for internal systems to ensure high availability.\r\nCreate and maintain detailed documentation for IT systems, setups, and user troubleshooting guides.\r\nAssist in tracking and documenting internal IT assets, hardware, and software licenses.\r\nPrepare summary reports on IT support trends, tool performance, and recommendations for future roadmaps.\r\nWork with our security team to address internal system security issues and respond to incidents.\r\nRequirements\r\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field within a university in the state of Maryland.\r\nA minimum of 2.5 GPA.\r\nA basic understanding of IT troubleshooting, operating systems (macOS preferred), and core IT principles.\r\nFamiliarity with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for tool development.\r\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\r\nExcellent written and verbal communication abilities.\r\nDetail-oriented with strong documentation skills.\r\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.\r\nAbility to work 10-20 hours a week.\r\nAbility to pass a background check.\r\nUS Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.\r\nMust reside in the Continental US, preferably within the state of Maryland.\r\nOur People\r\nWe invest in the lives of our employees, both in and out of the workplace.\r\nLocation\r\nBe in your Element.
