You will provide Tier I and Tier II support to diagnose and resolve technical problems while effectively communicating status and escalations to management. Additionally, you will configure LINUX or Windows operating systems, manage network components, and implement system enhancements to optimize reliability and performance.Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited ToProvide Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problemsManage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systemsProvide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etcProvide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customersOptimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planningProvide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution processConfigure and manage Linux and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems, install/loads operating system software, troubleshootMaintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performanceMinimum Qualifications10+ years' experience as a systems administratorBachelor's degree in technical discipline; an additional 5 years of system administrator experience might be substituted for a degreeExperience with RedHat Linux and WindowsExperience installing and troubleshooting OS implementations and interfacing connectionsPreferred QualificationsAWSClearance RequirementsActive TS/SCI with PolyPhysical RequirementsNeeds to be able to provide hardware transferring supportFrequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
