This position performs internal audit work for all areas of the organization to support the Company’s overall audit plan.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nPerforms assigned audit test work in accordance with the approved audit program on financial, operational, and compliance audits and projects within budgeted timeframes.\n\nResearches, plans, and in-charges financial, operational, and compliance audits and projects.\n\nMonitors the progress of work assigned to others, provides assistance and guidance, and reviews work performed to ensure objectives are met and findings are properly substantiated.\n\nExamines and analyzes accounting records, operations, policies, and procedures.\n\nDetermine the validity and propriety of financial records, effectiveness of controls, efficiency of operations, and compliance with laws, policies, and procedures.\n\nApplies appropriate audit procedures to the areas reviewed to ensure that controls are tested, and significant risks are addressed.\n\nIdentifies, develops, and presents audit issues and recommendations in written and verbal presentations to various levels of management.\n\nWorks to assist external auditors, regulators, and other third parties as assigned.\n\nBuilds relationships with auditees and represents Internal Audit in various committee and relationship assignments, and shares information gained with the Department.\n\nPursues professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships.\n\nObtains required CPE to retain professional certification(s).\n\nPerforms internal quality assurance reviews of work papers in accordance with Internal Audit's Quality Assurance Program.\n\nAdheres to the IIA's International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.\n\nPerforms other duties and/or special projects as assigned.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\n\nPossess an understanding of financial reporting requirements, banking processes, and related laws and regulations.\n\nStrong critical thinking, fraud detection, and conflict management skills.\n\nPossess a good knowledge of analytical techniques used to identify and resolve problems.\n\nProficient user in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.\n\nKnowledge of bank information systems.\n\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret complex financial or regulatory documents.\n\nProficiently write reports and business correspondence.\n\nVerbally present information to groups in a clear and concise manner.\n\nCapable of responding to sensitive inquiries or complaints.\n\nAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.\n\nDefine problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.\n\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.\n\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\n\nIdentify and analyze risk as it pertains to the Company.\n\nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE\n\nBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Information Systems, or related field required.\n\n1-3 years experience in public accounting, banking, internal audit, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required.\n\nLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS\n\nProfessional certifications (CPA, CIA, CBA, CISA, CFSA or CISSP) preferred.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT\n\nDexterity of hands/fingers to operate computer keyboard and mouse - Frequently.\n\nSitting - Frequently.\n\nStanding - Occasionally.\n\nNoise Level - Moderate.\n\nTypical Work hours - M-F (8-5).\n\nRegular and Predictable Attendance - Required.\n\nTravel - 15%.\n\nCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS\nWe offer a competitive total compensation package including base salary and benefits. The anticipated pay range for this position is $58,630.00 - $90,970.00 per year (in CO & WA) and depends on a variety of non‑discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job‑related knowledge, skills and experience, education, and geographic location. Additionally, this role is eligible to receive annual discretionary cash bonuses. Benefits available for this position include, but are not limited to, medical, dental, vision, short‑term and long‑term disability benefits and life insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings account, employee assistance program, 401(k), Paid Time Off (new hires accrue at .069 per hours worked which equates to approximately 18 days per year inclusive of paid sick time) and up to 11 paid Federal holidays.
