The individual will work closely with other engineering functions to develop and deliver high quality electrical control panels and solutions meeting our business needs. The individual will learn about a variety of new technologies which can shape the data center industry for decades to come. We are looking for a driven Electrical Engineer that is passionate about this profession and wants to be a team leader on one of the world’s global leaders in in liquid cooling solutions and services.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nDesigns, builds, and tests electrical control panels to ensure the quality, safety, cost, and schedule targets are met.\nDevelops manufacturing processes according to global engineering codes and standards.\nEnsures installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical system specifications and/or technical drawings.\nPrepares the Bill of Material and necessary material arrangements for the control panel building.\nProvides support for other R&D activities such as design, analysis, development of software and hardware.\nSupports cross functional teams to perform and apply appropriate tools, such as 8D and A3 for trouble shooting and testing.\nAssists with workflow optimization for electrical system design processes.\nParticipates in the Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes to ensure electrical design quality and safety are up to standard.\nActs in a manner consistent with LiquidStack’s core values and according to LiquidStack’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethical Behavior.\nComplies with standards and procedures of LiquidStack’s health and safety manual and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.\nSPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\nBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.\nMinimum 5 years of product design experience in HVAC, PCB, electrical appliances, power systems, automotive or related electromechanical products.\nProficiency in AutoCAD, E-Plan and/or other electrical drawing tool is preferred.\nExperience with P&ID and PLC can be an advantage.\nSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification is considered an asset.\nProactive, engaged, and willing to learn.\nAttention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture.\nMust have strong planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nAble to prioritize competing tasks and keeping to critical deadlines.\nSelf-starter that can be hands-on and able to work independently.\nMulticultural approach, comfortable working with diverse cultures and mind-sets.\nAppreciation to work in a global organization with teammates in different time zones/regions.\nExcellent English communication (verbal & written).\nConversational in Cantonese and/or Mandarin an asset.\nStrong knowledge in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nSPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT\nWillingness and ability to travel globally up to 5% of the time.\nValid passport & driver’s license with no infractions that would limit ability to travel.\nLiquidStack is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
