This role is also responsible for operating hand-operated lifts and/or automated equipment such as forklifts. Material Handler assures that supply areas are organized, maintained, and par levels are optimized to support customer demands. Displays professional, safe conduct in all interactions. Maintains positive working relationships with Manager, Lead, staff, other departments, and vendors.\nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES\nEnsure quality standards/installations and projects meet both client and internal stakeholder requirements.\nResponsible for maintaining clean and orderly stock locations.\nRestock supplies daily and rotate inventory supporting accurate inventory levels.\nResponsible for keeping dock clean daily.\nReceive daily materials per packing list in Oracle.\nDistribute supplies and equipment to department areas, while monitoring par levels for specific products to assure that appropriate levels are established in order not to affect production.\nNotify Inventory analyst of outdated or slow-moving inventory.\nFollow established channels of communication in handling routine and non-routine problems and recognizing issues that need referral to management.\nEfficiently utilize time in accomplishing work.\nMeet attendance standards; is punctual.\nSeek out productive duties in absence of guidance.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE\nA high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n2-5 years prior experience in similar role required.\nValid driver's license required.\nForklift License from ATCO will be required.\nKnowledge of construction materials and parts such as lumber, insulation, flooring, roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, exterior and interior finishing is preferred.\nComputer skills required: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Oracle knowledge.\nStrong interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills.\nTime-management, organized, and documentation skills.\nPrior experience in completing inventory control.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
