Shop Foreman

*Overview* We are seeking a skilled Shop Foreman to lead our maintenance and repair operations here at Big Level Trucking. The ideal candidate will have a passion for ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet. As the Shop Foreman, you will oversee daily shop activities, manage our team of technicians, and ensure that all maintenance work meets our high standards of quality. * Key Responsibilities* - Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maitenance shop, ensuring timely and effective repairs and services. - Lead and mentor a team of mechanics and techniciand, fostering a positive work environment. - Schedule and prioritize repair and maintenance tasks to optimize shop efficiency. - Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. - Maintain inventory of parts and supplies, ordering as needed to ensure sreamless operations. - Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices within the shop. - Collaborate with management to develop and manage the shop budget. - Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed on all vehicles. - Ensure the shop remains clean, organized, and equipt with necessary tool and recources. *Requirements* - High Shool diploma or equivalent; vocational training in diesel mechanics or a related field preferred -Minimum of 5 years of experience in diesel repair or heavy equipment maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. - Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical, and hydraulic systems. - Excellent leadership and communication skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. -Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment. -Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
