This critical demographic has the potential to leave the streets behind for good when provided with the support needed to make a change in their lives. ?Urban Street Angels has made it our mission to serve this under-supported group, and in so doing, make meaningful progress toward ending homelessness in San Diego and beyond.?Title: Residential Security Services Coordinator (front desk/security)Status: Full-time, nonexempt, in-personHourly rate: $23-$24Schedule: Monday - Friday, 12:00am 0 8:30am (overnight)Location: La Mesa, CAPosition Summary: The Residential Security Services Coordinator will act as the first point of contact, welcoming guests while also managing access control, monitoring premises, enforcing security protocols, and responding to incidents to maintain a safe and secure environment. Key duties include visitor check-in/check-out, administering security passes, monitoring access control and surveillance systems, conducting security checks, and maintaining visitor and incident logs. This role requires strong customer service, excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to enforce policies while upholding a professional demeanor.Responsibilities:Greets visitors, vendors, clients and employees, verifying their identity and directing them accordinglyManages building access, issue security passes, and enforce visitor sign-in/sign-out proceduresMonitors surveillance cameras and access control systems, ensuring compliance with security protocolsConducts routine inspections of the premises, checking for unauthorized persons, security breaches, or hazardous conditionsResponds to security incidents, alarms, or emergencies, escalating when necessary and documenting the eventMaintains accurate visitor logs, security incident reports, and other relevant records for management reviewHandle phone calls, manage mail, and perform other front desk duties as neededProvides assistance to staffPerforms other duties as assigned by supervisorQualifications:Experience working as security guard/front desk or working with homeless youth in some capacityExperience in customer service and attention to detailProficiency with camera equipment & computersMust be able to fluently, read, write and communicate in English (bilingual a plus)Must be able to comfortably, both mentally and physically, perform all aspects of job description and other duties as assigned by supervisorMust be able to comfortably walk up and down stairs, walk for extended periods of time, sit for periods of timeMust submit to a background check via Live Scan (with ongoing alerts), as required by specific programs, funding requirements and licensing regulationsAdditional Requirements:Reliable transportationAbility to travel between Urban Street Angels locationsAbility to lift up to 20 lbs. and work in varied indoor/outdoor settingsFlexibility to work evenings or weekends as neededMust submit to a background check via Live Scan (with ongoing alerts), as required by specific programs, funding requirements and licensing regulationsMust submit to TB testingMust be authorized to work in the U.S. and complete I9 verificationBenefits:Urban Street Angels offers an array of benefits to employees, supporting health, wellness and retirement, including: ?401(k) retirement savingsMedical insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceAncillary voluntary insurancesPaid time off including sick and vacation time (after 90 days)Referral incentive programUrban Street Angels is an equal opportunity employer, committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
