I have an opportunity for "EDW Modeler" - Washington, DC"(Remote till COVID). and I am looking for a candidate who can join Immediately if you are interested, reply to me with your updated resume or if you could refer someone I would really appreciate it.Position : EDW ModelerLocation : Washington, DCDuration : 6 to 12 MonthsJOB DESCRIPTION:The Data Warehouse modeler and developer will spearhead the design and development of a new, high performance enterprise data warehouse for the organization, using industry best practices and data modeling techniques. Leads projects in designing enterprise data reporting architecture that includes strategic reporting databases, data marts and data warehouses. Creates complex ETL packages to extract data from various data sources and load into data warehouses. Takes ownership of system structure integrity and data integrity. Serves as technical team member in the development of business intelligence solutions and other reports based on data from various sources.• Serves as Subject Matter Expert in data warehouse concepts (Kimball, Inmon, star schema, snowflake schemas, and normalized and denormalized data models)• Leads the integration of the data warehouse with a modern, leading business intelligence platform• Leads in designing and revising data model for data warehouse, and metadata and data dictionaries across the enterprise• Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of business processes supported by software systems/products• Analyzes and documents "as-is" and "to-be" scenarios (processes, models, use cases, plans and solutions)• Performed Source system analysis (SSA) to identify the source data that needs to be moved into the target tables• Perform Data Analysis and Data validation by writing SQL queries• Innovating new ways to standardize existing data processes and optimizing current workflows• Creating custom data sets for use within our Analytics teams• Create Data Mapping documents, data dictionaries and Interface Control Documents (ICDs)• Works as part of Scrum Development Team and effectively participates in sprint planning, task estimates, task sequencing, task assignments, sprint reviews and retrospectives.• Meets and collaborates with business users on requirements and objectives• Leads in reviewing and revising database designs and scripts on an ongoing basis• Leads in documenting meta-data about Data Warehouse System according to computer industry standards and knowledge of database management systems.• Manages data loads, and security, storage and performance strategies and implementations.• Serves as technical team member in the development of business intelligence reports and analysis, providing mentoring, guidance and troubleshooting to analysis team members in solving complex reporting and analytical problems• Conducts complex analyses of strategic issues based on analysis of trends and interrelationships of key performance drivers documented in the data warehouse, especially the identification of test and control groups and comparison and evaluation of their relative performance;
