FT Partners is an investment bank headquartered in San Francisco focusing on brokering FinTech transactions. We are looking to bolster our engineering team located in our San Francisco office.\n\nYou will be helping build FT Base, our firm's digital backbone which manages our data ecosystem, project lifecycles, AI Agents, and proprietary CRM. It's built in Python, Django (DRF), Typescript, React, PostgreSQL. It's a mission critical application with heavy usage on a constant basis. It also powers an MCP server to provide data and interactivity to employees through enterprise AI tooling.\n\nWe are looking for people who can produce stable features without racking up technical debts, and can help organize, consolidate, and strengthen our suite of software for sustained impact.\n\nQualifications\n\nExperience requirements, either:\n\n2 years as a Software Engineer in a web application environment OR\n2 years as a Software Engineer and reputable boot camp certification OR\nComputer Science degree (4 year) and some projects or work experience to show\n\nPython, Typescript, APIs, Git and web application system design concepts\n\nPlease note: we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nImmerse yourself in the context and business requirements of each of our system's many functional areas\nExecute on instructions to build new things, or improve, refactor, clean up or delete features\nMake recommendations on progressing projects you are close to, sometimes in growth, sometimes in simplification, sometimes in aligning with other areas of the system\nHelp review applications prototyped outside of the engineering department, and help steer, rebuild, or secure these\n\nAI Qualifications\n\nStrong A.I. prompt-driven development abilities, backed by technical understanding\nYou will need to be able to explain and verify any ai-produced code you submit, on a line by line basis.\nExperience overcoming the obstacles that lie beyond the prototype, and instinct toward cohesive organized systems that scale\n\nIdeal Mindset\n\nResponsible and organized.
