You will work closely with product leadership, data scientists, and other developers to design, build, and maintain core platform functionality that is reliable, secure, and scalable.\nWork Environment\nFull-time position - Monday through Friday - 9am to 5pm CST\nOn-site working out of StudyTrack headquarters: 8318 Jefferson Hwy, Suite B, Baton Rouge, LA 70809\nWhat We Offer\nBase Salary: $75,000 – $100,000 (DOE)\nHealth Insurance\n401K\nFlexible PTO policy\nAll business-related travel expenses covered (meals, lodging, and transportation)\nProfessional Development\n\nResponsibilities:\nKey Responsibilities\nApplication Development\nDesign, build, and maintain core platform features across backend and frontend systems\nTranslate product requirements into clean, maintainable, and scalable code\nContribute to system architecture decisions and technical design\nFind and fix system bugs\nFail-test system for security compliance\nData & System Architecture\nBuild and maintain systems that support multi-tenant data models and strict data isolation\nEnsure data flows are accurate, reliable, and optimized for performance and reporting\nSupport development of analytics, dashboards, and reporting infrastructure\nSecurity & Compliance\nImplement secure coding practices aligned with SOC 2, FERPA, and OWASP standards\nEnsure encryption, authentication, and access control are properly enforced\nContribute to audit logging, data traceability, and system integrity\nPlatform Reliability & Performance\nMonitor and optimize system performance, scalability, and uptime\nSupport infrastructure improvements related to deployment, monitoring, and recovery\nContribute to testing, debugging, and continuous improvement of the platform\nCollaboration & Execution\nWork closely with product, data, and leadership teams to deliver features on time\nParticipate in code reviews and maintain high engineering standards\nContribute to a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement\nQualifications:\nRequired Qualifications\n6+ years of experience in software development\nStrong experience with modern web frameworks and backend systems (e.g., Laravel, Node.js, or similar)\nExperience working with relational databases (MySQL or similar)\nExperience with cloud infrastructure environments (DigitalOcean, AWS, or similar)\nUnderstanding of API design, data modeling, and system architecture\nExperience working in collaborative, product-driven environments\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms\nFamiliarity with security best practices and compliance environments\nExperience with Redis, queue systems, or real-time processing\nExposure to analytics platforms or data-heavy applications\nBackground working in a growth-stage or founder-led organization.\n\nThis position is with StudyTrack LLC a system of record for how education services are delivered, an affiliate of Studyville LLC.\nThis role will directly impact how data is captured, validated, and transformed into decisions.
