DescriptionJob Title: Civil EngineerSalary Range: $85,000- $110,000Primary Office Locations: Greenville, SC (Preferred)Education Requirements: B.S. Civil EngineeringLicensure Requirements: PE License in at least on US State (SC Preferred)Experience Requirements: 3-7+ Years of Design Experience w/ Industrial Wastewater; 1-2+ Years of Project Management ExperienceTravel Requirements:Prepare civil engineering designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications for:Site development and gradingStormwater management and erosion controlWater, wastewater, and industrial utility systemsDevelop and review engineering reports, feasibility studies and basis-of-design documentsApply local, state and federal design standards (AASHTO, EPA, DOT, Municipal Standards)Perform quantity takeoffs, cost estimates and constructability reviewsPhysical & Work EnvironmentCombination of office and field work at active industrial facilitiesPeriodic travel for site assessments, construction support, and regulator meetingsAbility to access treatment systems and comply with PPE and safety requirementsPersonal CapabilitiesIndependently leads and manages land development projectsService as the primary point of contact or technical lead for projectsExercises professional judgment with limited supervisionReviews technical deliverables and responds to RFIsPerforms reviews of QA/QC design deliverablesMentors junior staff and contributes to business developmentKnowledge and understanding of regulatory permitting processesFamiliarity with construction administration and contractor coordinationTypical Job Tasks:Project Execution:Coordinate with internal disciplines (structural, environmental, mechanical, electrical) and external consultants.Interface with clients to clarify technical requirements and design intent.Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and change requests.Provide construction phase support, including site visits and field observations.Permitting & Regulatory:Prepare and support permit applications for municipal and industrial projects, including:Stormwater (NPDES, SWPPP)Utility connectionsLand disturbance and site plan approvalsCoordinate with regulatory agencies, municipalities, and reviewing authorities.Ensure designs comply with environmental, zoning, and land-use requirements.Provide technical leadership during regulatory inspections, audits, and enforcement actionsReview laboratory data and establish treatment performance metrics and compliance targetsProvide technical input for proposals, feasibility studies, and regulatory strategy documentsOther DutiesThis description outlines the general responsibilities of the position and may be subject to changes as needed to meet business or organizational requirements.Key Benefits Include:Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceFlexible Spending Accounts401(K) Plan with Competitive MatchContinuing Education and Tuition AssistanceEmployer-Sponsored Disability BenefitsLife InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays, & Bonus Floating Holiday (if hired before July 1st)Profit Sharing or Individual Bonus ProgramsReferral ProgramPer Diem & Paid TravelEmployee Discount HubAlliance Technical Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
