Intern, Major Events
Position SummaryThe Event Intern, Major Events' primary responsibility is to serve as event support for the department. The Event Intern will assist the events team with the execution of major events and other internal invents during the duration of the internship. In addition, this position will also include various administrative duties as needed. The Event Intern will report to the Director, Major Events.Roles and ResponsibilitiesAssist Managers with the execution of their assigned Major EventsAttend event related meetings, take notes and share within the department to make sure communication is shared.Help ensure that the stadium is ready for event day by assisting with load-ins and pre-event walksParticipates in client site visits and walkthroughsCreate and manage a system to compile, organize and keep event related photosAssist with the preparation and filing of post event notesPerforms other duties as assigned to meet stadium, event, department and business needsEmbrace and practice our 6 Core Values: Put People First, Listen and Respond, Include Everyone, Innovate Continuously, Lead by Example, Give Back to Others Qualifications and Education RequirementsBachelor's Degree required, preferably in facility or event managementOne year event coordination experience, preferably with a sports or multi-use facility.Experience may include completed internship(s) within the fields of facility/event management or hospitality Required SkillsTeam player with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize to effectively meet deadlinesAbility to help with event-related tasks; occasionally physical or laborious tasksProficient in Microsoft office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation, internet softwareStrong organization/multi-tasking skills and detail-oriented mindsetAbility to be a self-starter--proactive and flexibleExcellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externallyAble to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressureAble to work late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays
