This position is responsible for managing a team of security personnel, enforcing security protocols, and ensuring compliance with state and local regulations related to cannabis security. The Safety/Security Supervisor will work closely with management to address any security issues, maintain a secure environment, and assist with audits and investigations.What You Will DoTeam Supervision:Lead and supervise a team of security officers, ensuring proper staffing, training, and performance managementSchedule and assign shifts for security personnel to ensure 24/7 coverage of the facilityConduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and guidance to team membersSecurity Operations:Ensure the implementation and adherence to security protocols, procedures, and regulations in the Jushi facilitiesMonitor surveillance systems (CCTV, alarms, access control) to detect and prevent unauthorized activityConduct regular physical security checks of all areas, including the grow rooms, processing areas, storage, and external perimeterEnsure the safety and security of customers and employees, at the retail dispensary locationsMonitor and maintenance security equipment at all Jushi locationsCompliance and Recordkeeping:Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal cannabis security regulationsMaintain accurate security logs, incident reports, and other documentation related to security incidentsParticipate in regular audits and inspections to ensure facility security measures are up to codeEmergency Response:Act as the primary point of contact for emergency security situations and coordinate response efforts as neededTrain security personnel in emergency procedures, including evacuation, lockdown, and response to breaches or intrusionsTraining & Development:Conduct training sessions for security staff on security protocols, cannabis regulations, and the use of security equipmentEnsure that all security staff remain up to date with state and local cannabis security requirementsCollaboration & Reporting:Work closely with the Director of Operations and other facility management to identify and address security vulnerabilitiesProvide regular reports on security issues, incidents, and operational improvementsAssist in investigations related to theft, fraud, or other violations of security protocolsWhat We Are Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in criminal justice, security management, or related field preferredMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in security, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership rolePrior experience in the cannabis industry or in a highly regulated industry (such as pharmaceuticals, alcohol, etc.) is a plusKnowledge of cannabis security regulations and best practices is highly desirableStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to remain calm and make decisions under pressure in emergency situationsMust pass background checks and meet local and state regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industryPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 25 lbs occasionallyAbility to remain alert and focused for long shifts, including overnight hours if neededWORKING CONDITIONSThis position may require rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidaysThe work environment may involve exposure to the growing and processing areas of the cannabis facility, including potential exposure to plants and equipmentOccasional travel to other facilities or off-site locations may be required for training or other operational needsWhat We Have To Offer Our Employees At JushiWe offer benefit packages that may include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short, and Long Term Disability, Flexible Spending Accounts, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, and 401(k).BONUS DUTIES YOU SHOULD UNDERSTANDPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
