National Sales Executive - Millwork

The Role: The National Sales Manager is responsible for prospecting new clients and nurturing existing relationships with Merric. The incumbent will oversee all our brands and product offerings which includes millwork, metals, stone and buy out items. The primary goal will be to meet sales targets through developing relationships, effective communication, and presentation and negotiation skills.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Actively prospect and generate leads through networking, cold calling, and other lead generation techniques.
Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction.
Utilize market knowledge and industry expertise to tailor sales pitches to specific customer needs.
Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet sales targets.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement sales strategies and ensure seamless service, delivery and overall customer satisfaction.
Work independently and as part of a team to achieve sales goals.
Ensure the job and customer have been fully vetted.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
Keep abreast of industry trends, competitive activities, and market opportunities.
Required Skills/Abilities
Strong customer service skills and ability to build lasting relationships.
Knowledge of the market and industry trends.
Ability to negotiate contracts and prices.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
Education and Experience
5-10 years of sales experience in the millwork industry.
Extensive knowledge of custom and architectural millwork and casework.
Proven track record in outside sales and business development.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Solid understanding of AWI standards.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
Must be able to safely navigate a construction site.
