This role is ideal for a data professional with strong Snowflake expertise who enjoys designing scalable cloud data warehouses, building high-performance ELT pipelines, and delivering reliable data solutions that power enterprise analytics. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop secure, optimized, and scalable data platforms in a cloud environment.\r\nLocation: New York, NY\r\nDuration: Ongoing Contract\r\nDuties\r\nDesign, develop, and optimize cloud-native data warehouses using Snowflake.\r\nBuild, maintain, and enhance scalable ELT data pipelines for structured and semi-structured data.\r\nConfigure and administer Snowflake features including virtual warehouses, stages, Snowpipe, streams, and tasks.\r\nDevelop optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and User-Defined Functions (UDFs).\r\nDesign dimensional data models using Star and Snowflake schemas.\r\nMonitor and optimize platform performance through query tuning, clustering keys, materialized views, and result caching.\r\nImplement security and governance using Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), data masking, and row- and column-level security.\r\nDevelop transformation workflows using dbt and/or Snowpark with Python or Java.\r\nCollaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, and analytics teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.\r\nEnsure data quality, governance, reliability, and adherence to enterprise best practices.\r\nParticipate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, testing, code reviews, and deployments.\r\nSkills\r\nAdvanced Snowflake development and administration.\r\nExpert SQL development and query optimization.\r\nStrong experience with dimensional data modeling (Star and Snowflake schemas).\r\nPython and/or Bash scripting.\r\nExperience with dbt, Snowpark, or similar data transformation frameworks.\r\nKnowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.\r\nExperience building ELT/ETL pipelines and cloud data integration solutions.\r\nSnowflake performance tuning and optimization.\r\nData governance, RBAC, data masking, and security best practices.\r\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.\r\nExperience working within Agile/Scrum environments.\r\nExperience\r\n4+ years of experience building cloud-native data platforms.\r\nMinimum 3 years of hands-on Snowflake engineering experience.\r\nProven experience designing and optimizing enterprise data warehouses and ELT pipelines.\r\nExperience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems into cloud-based analytics environments.\r\nDemonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.\r\nEducation\r\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\r\nEquivalent professional experience will also be considered.\r\nExcellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.\r\nAbout CTG\r\nCTG, a Cegeka company, delivers IT and business solutions that enhance clients' digital agility, empowering them to seize new opportunities and overcome any challenge.
