Type: 12 month contract, no 3rd party pleaseLocation: Portland, OR metroScope of Position:As a QA Automation Engineer II, you are a member of a dynamic and agile QA Automation team responsible for testing and automating the testing of the systems and services that power our customer facing products. You will work closely with other QA Automation Engineers and Software Engineers as well as your Engineering Management leadership team to stay ahead of the curve with our products and architecture. You will participate in driving QA Automation Engineering craftsmanship and best practices on your team and drive improvements as necessary.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable codeWork closely with product owners in an agile environmentImplement automated testing platforms, unit, and end-to-end testsIdentify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problemsInvestigate customer problems referred by the technical support teamCreate & manage bug reports and communicate with the teamHelp maintain code quality, organization, and test automatizationWork with deployments teams and resolving any level issues for the systemSet up, maintain, and operate test automation frameworksAbility to manually test and provide bug reports when bugs are foundUnderstanding the flow of code and how it interacts with different components.Required Skills/Abilities:At least 2 years of experience with any general programming language (Python preferred)At least 2 years of experience with writing tests (E2E, Integration, Unit)At least 2 years of experience with Selenium or another automation tool or frameworkAt least 2 years of experience with relational databasesAt least 2 years of experience with Enterprise architecture and RESTful APIsUnderstanding of Object-Oriented DesignAble to recognize risks and errors in an applicationAble to find bottlenecks and thresholds in existing code with the help of automation toolsExcellent time management and organizational skillsThe ability to keep current with the constantly changing technology industryA passion for testing and developmentExcellent communication skills and ability to articulate issues, analysis and solutions
