If you share our passion for strengthening physician care, please apply for the Specimen Accessioner!\n\nWork Schedule: M-F 7:30 am-4 pm\nSpecimen Processor Responsibilities\nIntroduce and prepare biological specimens to the laboratory to ensure accurate processing\nVerify patient demographic information matches the test requisition form submitted\nData entry of patient information into the computer system for tracking purposes\nMeet key production metrics and quality measures to ensure timely and accurate results\nUnpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas\nPack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities when required\nProperly prepare and store excess specimen samples\nResolve and document any problem specimens\nOperate automated instrumentation under supervision if necessary\n\nRequirements:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nPrevious medical or production experience is a plus\nPrior driver/courier experience is preferred\nProficient computer and typing skills\nMust pass standardized color vision test\nComfortable handling human biological specimens including blood, urine and tissue samples\nAbility to lift up to 30lbs, work in protective equipment and sit/stand for long periods of time\nStrong eye hand coordination in order to accurately identify specimens by touch and sight\nAbility to work both independently and in a team environment\nHigh level of attention to detail with the ability to problem solve\nStrong communication skills; both written and verbal\nMust have a Valid Driver's License and good driving record\nMust be at least 21 years’ old\nBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only.
