In addition, Middlesex Asphalt in Central Florida is one of the largest and most productive asphalt plants in the United States with Middlesex Paving earning an equally solid regional presence and reputation.\r\nPosition Summary:\r\nThe Project Controls Analyst supports the successful delivery of one complex heavy civil bridge project by managing and maintaining project controls processes across schedule, cost, productivity, quantity tracking, change management, and reporting, while partnering closely with project management, estimating, accounting/finance, and field teams to ensure accurate reporting, strong cost discipline, and proactive identification and escalation of project risks and trends through closeout.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nComply with (and actively promote) all safety policies and procedures, including reporting all accidents, incidents, and near-misses, to ensure adherence to our #1 Core Value: Safety First, in everything we do.\r\nEnsure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and project contractual requirements.\r\nTrack job cost performance, production trends, and commitments to support accurate forecasting for the project.\r\nMaintain cost reports, dashboards, and variance explanations (budget vs. actual vs. forecast).\r\nSupport cost-to-complete projections and identify potential budget risks early.\r\nCoordinate with accounting/finance on cost coding, accruals, and monthly close alignment as needed.\r\nSupport development and maintenance of the project schedule in Primavera P6 (or similar).\r\nTrack progress quantities and productivity to support schedule integrity and performance trends.\r\nAssist with look-ahead planning, milestone tracking, and schedule impact documentation.\r\nSupport contract change management processes (CO logs, status tracking, backup support).\r\nHelp identify, document, and escalate project risks, productivity impacts, and cost/schedule trends.\r\nAssist with schedule/time impact analysis and change documentation packages.\r\nFollow best practices for project documentation, reporting, and controls systems specific to the project.\r\nSupport document control workflows and ensure project information is organized, accurate, and accessible.\r\nUtilize project systems and software (P6, MS Office; Viewpoint preferred).\r\nWork closely with the project team, estimating, and leadership to align reporting, cost controls, and schedule updates.\r\nCommunicate clearly with internal stakeholders and represent the company professionally with clients, contractors, and vendors as needed.\r\nQualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).\r\n8+ years of project controls experience in a heavy civil construction environment (cost + schedule + reporting).\r\nStrong experience in cost controls, financial analysis, forecasting, and construction cost engineering.\r\nExperience supporting estimating, bid support, cost history tracking, or buyout analysis is strongly preferred.\r\nProficiency with Primavera P6 (or similar scheduling tools) and Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills).\r\nExperience with Viewpoint preferred.\r\nStrong understanding of construction accounting concepts (job cost, commitments, forecasting, earned value/production tracking).\r\nStrong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\r\nExcellent communication skills with experience working directly with project leadership and field teams.\r\nNecessary Attributes:\r\nMust possess the ability to adapt to differing personalities, management styles, and team compositions.\r\nAttention to detail, organization, prioritization, and the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently are required.\r\nTeam player with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills.\r\nReliance on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.\r\nStrong analytical skills.\r\nWe offer our full-time and eligible part-time team members a comprehensive benefits package that's among the best in our industry.
