Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nStandard Duties:\nMust have the ability and willingness to be trained on and perform all assembly line operations within the BorgWarner Assembly manufacturing process.\nVisually inspect and assemble small components to quality standards.\nUse hand-held gages.\nWork with automatic transmission fluid.\nWork well in a team environment.\nAssembly Operators will be expected to safely perform, as needed, all tasks assigned by the Team Lead/Coordinator including all positions within the Assembly department.\nSafely operates all equipment in the Assembly department.\nReads and understands job aids/work instructions and/or follows oral instructions to execute the component flow requirements.\nManually loads, unloads, and/or maneuvers materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, baskets, and shelves on foot and by hand as required (see physical requirements).\nSupport 5S / Housekeeping activities as required.\nUse appropriate hold tags to process defective parts through nonconforming material procedure.\nSAP entries and transactions required as needed.\nAdherence to standard work procedures to assemble units in addition to development and continuous improvement to the standards.\nPerforms required work steps within required cycle time.\nWear all required PPE and follow safety protocols.\nAdditional duties may be assigned.\nSafety, Health and Physical Requirements:\nStand for long periods of time including during operation of stand-up lifts.\nLifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. repetitively.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.\nRepetitive motion activities including but not limited to assembly, walking, standing, lifting, loading/unloading carts.\nOccasional climbing of steps.\nAll employees are responsible for knowing, understanding and complying with the safety policies and procedures.\nThe noise level in the work environment is moderate.\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.\nKey Competencies\nSafety\nJudgement/Decision\nMaking Teamwork/Interpersonal\nSkills Attendance\nAttention to detail and accuracy of work\nEducation:\nHigh School diploma/GED or basic skills assessment required.\nExperience:\n6 months of assembly related experience preferred.\nExperience in fast paced industrial lean environment.\nComputer Skills:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer knowledge.\nInternal Use Only: Direct Hourly\nGlobal Terms of Use and Privacy Statement\n\nCarefully read the BorgWarner Privacy Policy before using this website.
