Vice President Finance
Outstanding opportunity to join a premier financial service/insurance company as VP Finance reporting to the CFO.Job Title: VP Finance Job Location: NYCGlobal, insurance/financial service companyRequired:15+ years experience in Big 4 public accounting and/or industry within the re-insurance or life insurance space CPAIFRSLeadership experienceThis VP Finance role will have a team of about 30 in total through 3-4 direct and will oversee GL accounting, financial reporting, technical accounting/policy, internal controls/risk, expense management and investment accounting. Key Responsibilities-Oversee technical and non technical accounting across reinsurance, investments, and intercompany activity-Provide accounting guidance on complex transactions, new deals, and strategic initiatives-Partner with investment leadership to assess liquidity needs and capital deployment-Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on financial strategy and accounting guidance-Provide executive oversight of internal controls, MAR/SOX compliance, and operational risk frameworks-Lead risk assessments, control design, deficiency remediation, and Audit Committee reporting- Drive operational efficiency, process improvement, and scalable finance infrastructure-Ensure high-quality financial reporting across IFRS, Statutory, Solvency II, and Tax bases-- Oversee cash management, liquidity planning, and banking relationships- Lead enterprise expense planning, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with business leadersQualifications• CPA required• Minimum 15+ years of progressive leadership experience within Big 4 public accounting and/or in finance organizations within the insurance industry• IFRS and U.S. Statutory accounting experience• Demonstrated ability to lead large high performance teams, influence senior stakeholders, and manage complex projects in a global organization.
