Director of Engineering

The Platinum Hotel seeks a Director of Engineering to lead the overall operation of the Engineering department. This includes maintenance of all buildings, physical plant, interior spaces, contents and grounds to the highest degree of safety and appearance in order to maximize lifetime of all. Located just one block off the Strip, The Platinum is the place for you if you’re looking for that next challenge in a fast paced and friendly work environment.What you will be doing\: Organize and administrate the Engineering DepartmentSet up and administer the preventative maintenance of all areasEnsure effective work control and productivityEnsure proper staff levelsPrepare employee evaluationsOrganize and ensure department Budget controlsHOA budget responsibilitiesCapital improvement budget creation & oversightUtility budget/conservation programsEnsure property-wide safety and be proactive on all safety itemsProvide input and manage levels of inventory and all purchases for parts, tools, equipment, and machineryEnsure all safety related matters are corrected in a timely manorEnsure compliance with all local and federal health, safety, building codes and maintain accurate record keeping of activitiesWhat We Are Looking ForEducation & Experience:Minimum of High School diploma or equivalentMinimum 2 years prior facilities management.CPOKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesWorking knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical (high and low voltage,) pool equipment. Working knowledge of construction, ability to read blueprints, strong budgetary skills, and excellent planning skills.Ability to lead and mentor Engineering team. Interpersonal skills to deal effectively deal with all business contacts and employee-related manners.
